As you pull out your valuables to pack, like antique china and silverware, lay them all out on a single surface (like dining room table). Photograph the collection. When you develop the pictures, keep a set with your insurance papers and another with your will(s). When it comes time to review or renew either, you will have documented reminders of items to be considered in replacement value.
