Consider organizing your packing time into rooms. If you have six weeks before moving day and six rooms to pack, one room per week sounds almost manageable! Before you count that room closed though, wash any drapes that will be staying, and wash walls and floors. If you are feeling really nice, replace light bulbs with fresh ones before finally closing the door.
